EARLY MORNING SHED FIRE IN ALDAN

     

Tuesday, January 10, 2012  At 0207 hours, Collingdale #1 along with 42 (Collingdale #2) and RIT 44 (Springfield) were dispatched to the area of W. Providence Rd. and Bonsall Ave. for a shed fire. Aldan Police and 42-9 (Chief McBreen) arrived on scene to find a fence and shed on fire to the rear of 13 Bonsall Ave. Quint6 quickly hit the street under the command of 06-9B (Captain Boyle). Upon arrival a 1-3/4 inch line was stretched by 2nd Lieut. Dolan and FF Hanly Jr. into the rear yard as Engine42 arrived and began opening up the shed and finding hot spots. A quick knock was made on the fire and crews performed a small amount of overhaul. Companies were made available within 45 minutes and the scene was turned over to the Fire Marshal.
