Sunday, March 7, 2010 LODD Daniel McIntosh --Bensalem EMS Paramedic (1996-2010)

The Officers and Members of Collingdale Fire Company #1 extend our sincere condolences and prayers to the family of Paramedic Daniel McIntosh. Dan worked for the Bensalem community for 14 years and provided aid to thousands of people in Bensalem and areas throughout Bucks County. Dan strove for excellence in all that he did at work. He constantly trained to broaden his ability to serve his community. Dan was a loving husband and father of two small children. Dan also served as a volunteer firefighter for Nottingham Fire Company for a few years and recently joined Point-Pleasant Fire Company. Dan worked as a Bucks County Corrections Officer and a part-time police officer for Hulmeville Borough Police Department. Dan’s life was dedicated to service. He was 39 years old. Dan lost his life doing what he loved. On March 7th 2010, Dan suffered a catastrophic heart attack in the Line of Duty while on the scene of an emergency dealing with an unruly patient.
